Quebecois Poetry Roundtable on Poetic Voices & Exchanges
The Old Dominion University Virginia Beach Higher Education center will be hosting the second annual poetry festival in collaboration with La Maison de la Poésie in Montréal. The event will be held on Thursday, April 6th from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in Lecture Hall 244 at the ODU Virginia Beach Center, 1881 University Drive. The event is free and open to the public. Guest parking is available in Lot 3.
The event will feature three Quebecois poets and writers: Carole David, Denise Brassard, and Paul Chanel Malenfant. It will also feature four American poets and writers: M.J. Kledzik, Peter Schulman, Luisa Igloria, and Renée Olander. These award winning authors will present their works in English and French which will be translated. The readings will be followed by a reception and book signing. The poets will also be visiting local high schools in order to inspire students with the love of international poetry.
