Hello, fellow Metal Heads! I am Kyle, and I am here to show you some of the heaviest and most anticipated metal concerts that will be coming to or near the Hampton Roads area. Whether you are just into hardcore or metalcore, many of the shows have quality bands and can help broaden your horizons. Take a break from studying, and check out metal music at its finest: loud and live.

No Sun No Moon tour

The Devil Wears Prada will be coming to the NorVa in Norfolk on Tuesday, October 10th with Veil of Maya, Silent Planet, and Thousand Below. It is a diverse tour given each band has its own unique sound that separates it from the generic metalcore scene. Expect heads moving, vicious mosh pits, and great music.

For more information on tickets, check out the NorVa Web site. http://www.thenorva.com/events/detail/338328

Periphery tour

If you’re a fan of progressive metal, then this is the show for you. Co-headlining is the always beautiful but heavy Periphery and the progressive instrumental band Animals as Leaders. They will be supported by Car Bomb. The show will be at the NorVa on November 7th.

Fit for a King tour

On November 25th, metalcore giant Fit For A King and the up-and-coming In Hearts Wake will co-headline the Canal Club in Richmond. Like Moths to Flames and my personal favorite Phinehas will be the opening acts. This is a metalcore masterpiece of a lineup and a guarantee headbanger of a show.

Wage War tour

For the metal fans who love a good breakdown, this is the show for you. On December 9th, Wage War will be headlining with my favorite band Oceans Ate Alaska, as well as Gideon, Varials, Loathe, and local band Mirrors. The show will take place at the Canal Club and will be one to remember.
